Digital radiography is an X-ray imaging technique in which digital X-ray sensors replace traditional photographic film. Time savings are gained by skipping chemical processing, as well as the ability to digitally transmit and improve photos. In addition, compared to traditional radiography, less radiation is required to generate a picture with equivalent contrast.Digital radiography employs a digital image capturing device instead of X-ray film. This provides benefits such as instant image preview and availability, the removal of costly film processing stages, a larger dynamic range that is more tolerant of over- and under-exposure, and the possibility to apply specific image processing techniques that improve overall image presentation.
